STORY

Decorative copper planters and cachepots were popular features of mid-to-late 20th-century French country homes, designed to bring greenery indoors while offering a classical aesthetic. The combination of warm copper, ornate claw feet, and Delft-style ceramic handles makes this an elegant accent piece for open shelving, windowsills, or dining tables.

CONDITION REPORT

Good vintage condition with appropriate age-related wear, tarnish, and verdigris to the copper exterior. The tinned interior shows heavy darkening, marks, and oxidation from moisture and soil contact. Porcelain handles remain intact with light surface marks. Solid structure and stable feet.
