1. The Allocation Process
The moment you complete your purchase at vintagemidcentury.co.uk, two things happen automatically:

The item is permanently removed from our website so no other customer can purchase it.

The item is securely moved to our dispatch area, where our team begins preparing, inspecting, and packaging it for safe transit.
2. Cancellation Window & Fees
We understand that plans can change. However, because preparing vintage items for transport and removing them from the market incurs immediate operational costs for vintagemidcentury.co.uk, the following terms apply:

Before Dispatch: If you wish to cancel your order after it has been placed but before it leaves our warehouse, you will receive a refund minus a £45 administration and relisting fee.

Why this fee exists: This charge covers the administrative time required by vintagemidcentury.co.uk to process the cancellation, physical handling to return the item to storage, and the digital costs associated with reinstating and re-marketing a unique item across our online store.

After Dispatch: Once an item has been handed over to our courier, the order cannot be cancelled. It must instead be treated as a return, and the customer will be responsible for all return shipping costs back to vintagemidcentury.co.uk.
3. How to Request a Cancellation
