Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Vintage Midcentury, we pride ourselves on exceptional customer service. Our goal is to provide a friendly, fast, and efficient experience at every stage of your shopping and delivery journey.

Our Eco-Friendly Commitment

To help protect the planet, we use recycled packaging wherever possible. This includes 100% recycled cardboard and 93% recycled bubble wrap—both of which are 100% recyclable.

1. UK Shipping Rates (Approximate)

While specific delivery costs can be found directly within each item's description, we generally use the following flat-rate system:


Scotland, Highlands & Islands: Delivery to Scotland is typically between £150+. For the Highlands, Islands, or areas with specific access requirements, please email us at vintagemidcentury1@gmail.com for a bespoke quote prior to purchase.

2. Our Delivery Services

To ensure your unique vintage pieces arrive safely, we offer a variety of tailored shipping methods:

Standard UK Furniture Delivery (Man & Van)

  • Timeline: Typically takes 7–10 working days.

  • Scheduling: The courier will provide you with a 3-hour time slot the day before delivery. Live tracking is also available.

  • Important Delivery Terms: This is a door-to-door, ground-floor-only service. If you require the item to be carried up stairs or into a flat, you must notify us before delivery. An extra charge will apply based on the number of flights of stairs.

Express UK Delivery

  • If you need your items quickly, we can offer Express Delivery (1–2 days) via our pallet service for most products.

  • We can even achieve next-working-day delivery for orders placed before noon.

  • Please call us with your postcode first to confirm item eligibility and receive an accurate express quote.

International Shipping (Europe & Worldwide)

Please email us at vintagemidcentury1@gmail.com prior to purchase so we can provide an accurate shipping quote.

  • Europe: Options include a reliable "man and van" courier service (takes 3–4 weeks depending on location) or faster Air Freight if you need the items sooner.

  • USA, Canada, Australia, etc.: We utilize door-to-door or kerbside Air Freight, which takes just 2–3 days. Please note that all goods must be professionally crated for this service.

  • Sea Containers: For larger international orders, we can ship via sea container (timeline of 6+ weeks). You can choose to collect from your local port and arrange your own onward travel, or we can manage the entire delivery to your door. Prices include customs clearance.

3. Important Customer Information

  • Contact Information: Please ensure you provide a current mobile phone number at checkout so we or our couriers can successfully coordinate your delivery slot.

  • International Customs & Taxes: For all international shipments, you must provide either an EORI number or your local tax reference to allow the goods to clear customs.

  • Duties & Local Fees: The buyer is strictly responsible for any local taxes or regional landing charges. Please note that no import duties are payable on genuine antiques.

  • Inspection Upon Arrival: We kindly ask that you thoroughly check and satisfy yourself with the condition of your item upon delivery, before signing for the goods, and before the courier driver departs.
