Sourced from France, these mid-20th-century vintage apothecary canisters offer an authentic slice of traditional pharmaceutical history. Originally crafted for chemists and apothecaries to store dry medicinal herbs, roots, and leaves, they bring wonderful rustic character and vintage charm into any interior.

Constructed with heavy, rigid compressed cardboard and papier-mâché bodies finished in a distressed mustard-ochre faux-wood grain, they are fitted with solid turned wooden lids and bases. The face of each jar features classic paper labels framed in black borders, displaying traditional Latin pharmacopoeia names such as Folia Farfarae (coltsfoot leaves) and Folia Salviae Conc. (cut sage leaves).
