This is an authentic, large-format antique French earthenware confit pot, sourced directly from a French dealer at the prestigious Ardingly Antiques Fair. This specific pot (pictured in the foreground) features the classic rustic silhouette and dual lug handles typical of traditional French preserving vessels. It is covered in a deep, glossy, olive-green glaze that leans toward grey, characteristic of the highest quality stoneware from the South of France.

Historically used to store meats preserved in fat, this pot boasts a substantial weight and rich patina.
