French Louis XVI Style Painted & Canework Day Bed (Lit Cordeau)

20th Century | Sourced in the South of France

An exquisite 20th-century French Louis XVI style day bed, featuring elegant caned panelling and a softly distressed, painted finish in a subtle sea-green / celadon hue.

Crafted with sweeping, curved sides (corbeille style) and classic Neoclassical detailing, the carved frame is adorned with ribbon-twist moulding, floral rosette blocks, and central acanthus leaf carving along the top rail. The piece stands on six spiralled / stop-fluted turned supports, providing exceptional structure and authentic visual weight.
