The picture is beautifully drawn of mother and child in a sweet embrace, which is typical for Victorian pencil drawings of the 19th century.

The artist is a very confident draughtsman, with lovely detail to the classical clothes and good rendering of the hands.

Condition

As you would expect from a drawing from the 19th century, it shows some foxing and some staining upper corner.
