Beautifully Renovated Original Ercol 478 Classic High Back Windsor Chairs (1963)

Stunning original 1963 Ercol Classic 478 High Back Windsor Chairs, carefully restored.  These timeless pieces have been sympathetically renovated while retaining their authentic Ercol charm, making them both a collector’s item and a practical statement chair for the modern home.

Features & Renovation Details

  • Model: Ercol 478 Classic High Back Windsor Chair

  • Year: 1963

  • Finish: lightly cleaned and refinished with three coats of protective osmo wax oil.

  • Webbing: Brand new Pirelli webbing with dowel for long-lasting support

  • Cushions: Ercol cushions (approx. 1 years old, in very good condition) included – however, you may wish to have new ones made to suit your home perfectly.

  • Upholstery: Re-covered in a striking Mustard yellow ochre with fleur du lys in grey print on the fabric.

    • foam seat cushion for comfort

    • Loose back cushions in a mix of mustard yellow ochre fabric for contrast.

  • Condition: Solid, sturdy, with minor age-related wear consistent with its vintage status (see pictures)
