Stag Concord Oak Dressing Chest by John & Sylvia Reid, 1960s
Description:
A striking and functional example of British mid-century design, this oak dressing chest from the Concord range was designed by renowned duo John and Sylvia Reid for Stag Furniture in the 1960s. With clean lines, minimalist handles, and warm oak tones, the piece epitomizes the timeless utility of modernist design. It features a practical configuration of six drawers—four smaller ones for accessories or undergarments and two deeper drawers for larger items. The original mirror adds to its dressing-table charm and can be easily removed for use as a sideboard or chest of drawers.
The unit has been professionally refinished, bringing out the rich grain of the oak, and is presented in good vintage condition with some light, age-appropriate wear. The mirror remains in very good original condition with no major flaws. Perfect for a mid-century inspired bedroom or to add warm, retro texture to a modern interior.
