The house, once the weekend retreat of a textile designer and her husband, a former photographer for Fler Furniture, was a time capsule of refined Australian mid-century living.

They were the Fler SC58s, designed by Fred Lowen, one of the pioneers of Australian modernism, whose journey from war refugee to iconic designer mirrors the resilient creativity of post-war design.
